Why I became a Rolfer
"In 1989, during a particularly stressful time in my life, the chronic neck and shoulder pain that I had experienced most of my adult life became unbearable. It became so severe that it prevented me from remaining at work. A friend suggested that I try Rolfing since it had helped him. I had never heard of Rolfing but was desperate and trusted my friend. After one session I felt better. After ten sessions I felt like a new person, free of the agonizing neck pain and other bothersome aches that I was experiencing. In addition to the physical symptoms that were being released I was very surprised at the emotional release. I felt better physically, felt happier and was discovering a new way to be in my body.
It was not until many years later when I was seeking a new, more rewarding and less stressful career that I came back to Rolfing as a practitioner. I am enjoying this challenging work very much and especially enjoy meeting the many wonderful people that come to me for Rolfing. Rolfing has been a blessing in many ways."
